In Portugal Ricardo Reis is counted as a Maestro and sought out by ambitious younger professionals as well as amateurs, a coach´s coach. The same is true of his many devoted students in countries all over the world. He trains horses from the very beginning up to Grand Prix, and his horses are coveted all over the world for their ridability and lightness. When Ricardo teaches he is fully focused, and his instructions are brief, simple and calm. He always sees the big picture as well as the smallest details. He is a master at judging the horse´s biomechanics and knows exactly which exercises are needed to correct any problems as well as to strenghten and build up. Ricardotravels andteaches regulary in Europe and Scandinavia. He is also very interested in developing horses and riders for competition.
